Carecipe is a recipe app. This page says plainly what it does with your information, because there isn't much of it.

No account, no sign-in

Carecipe has no accounts. We don't ask for your name, email address, phone number or location, and we can't identify you.

What stays on your phone

Your saved recipes, meal plan, grocery lists, pantry, avatar choice and settings are stored on your device only. They are not uploaded to us. If you delete the app, they're gone; "Export my recipes" in Settings lets you keep a copy first.

What is sent to our server, and why

Some features need a computer more powerful than a phone. When you use them, the content you choose is sent to our server and then to OpenAI, which processes it and returns a result:

• Importing a recipe — the link, pasted text, photo, screenshot or video you provide. For a video, its sound is transcribed so a spoken recipe can be read.
• Scanning your ingredients — the photo you take or choose.
• "What do you fancy?" — the sentence you type.
• Nutrition — the recipe's ingredient list.

This content is used only to produce the result you asked for. We do not store photos, videos or text you send, and we do not use them to build profiles or train models. OpenAI's handling of data submitted through its API is described in its own policy; under its API terms it does not use that data to train its models.

The app also downloads recipe text and pictures from our server so they can be updated without an app update. Those requests carry no personal information.

Subscriptions

Carecipe Plus is sold through Apple on iPhone and iPad, and through Google Play on Android. Apple or Google handles payment; we never receive your payment details. We use RevenueCat to check whether a subscription is active: it receives the purchase record from Apple or Google, linked to a random ID the app creates — not your name or email. Manage or cancel any time in your Apple ID subscription settings, or in Google Play › Payments & subscriptions.

Camera and photos

The app asks for camera and photo-library access only when you choose to scan or import from a picture. You can revoke this in your phone's Settings at any time.

No tracking, no advertising

Carecipe contains no advertising, no analytics that identify you, and no third-party tracking. We don't sell or share personal information with anyone.

Deleting your data

Because Carecipe has no accounts, almost everything about you lives only on your phone:

• Your recipes, plans, lists, pantry and settings — delete them in the app with Settings › Reset everything, or by deleting the app.
• Photos, videos and text you send to be read — we don't keep them; they are deleted as soon as the result is sent back.
• Subscription record — kept by Apple or Google and by RevenueCat for as long as needed to provide and verify the subscription, and as the law requires. To ask for the RevenueCat record linked to your app ID to be deleted, email carecipesupport@forwardonlyllc.com from the app (Settings › Contact support) and we'll do it within 30 days.

Children

Carecipe isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change and the new version will be here.
